As part of its separation from Carrier, the Commercial and Residential Fire business is building its Information Technology (IT) department. This presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated and strategic thinker to assume the Digital Hosting leader role within the IT organization. This role represents the opportunity to help build and shape the future of our digital hosting function. While reporting directly to the head of Infrastructure and Operations, this person will work with all members of IT to help solve issues and create true value for the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of global hosting solutions to support business operations.
- Manage and optimize hosting performance, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hosting environments, including cloud and on-premise solutions.
- Develop and enforce hosting policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hosting solutions with other IT systems.
- Conduct regular assessments of hosting infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary upgrades.
- Ensure hosting security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures and protocols.
- Provide technical guidance and support to IT staff and end-users.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hosting services and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in hosting management, with a minimum of 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of hosting technologies, including cloud and on-premise solutions.
- Experience with hosting security practices and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, etc.) are a plus.
