Diamond buyer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Diamond Buyer at Poddar Diamond Ltd in Mumbai. The Diamond Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing diamonds, assessing their quality and value, negotiating prices, and managing inventory. The Diamond Buyer will also collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure the availability of high-quality diamonds for the production of jewelry.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of diamond cutting, grading, and quality assessment
• Experience in diamond sourcing and purchasing
• Strong negotiation skills
• Familiarity with jewelry manufacturing processes
• Attention to detail and ability to assess diamond quality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Knowledge of market trends and pricing
• Experience in the diamond or jewelry industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in gemology, business, or a related field
