Finance & Accounting: Organize & control the Finance & Accounting activities of the unit to ensure compliance of financial systems and financial integrity.
Ensure the activities of the Dept. are as per the established systems & authority guidelines.
. Ensure timely passing of bills and payments to suppliers, contractors& transporters within the stipulated time.
. Interact with Banks, Group units & major parties.
. Review Books of account and financial reports.
. Review Cash flow & fund management.
Statutory & Management Reports:
Review and ensure pro-active submission of necessary statutory & management reports to fulfill management requirement and ensure strict compliance for management decision making.
Analysis and Review various reports like monthly MIS, MPR & targets.
. Present exception reports to concerned department and unit head.
. Ensure timely submission of reports to Corporate Offices etc.
. Review Balance Sheet.
. Coordinate queries of auditors.
. Ensure Good Corporate Governance
Compliance with various statutory, Commercial and Taxation Acts, Rules & Regulations & Liasoning.
Ensuring compliance with the various Companies Act, Direct & Indirect Tax, Company Matters, and other commercial & taxation laws with high degree of corporate governance.
Ensure filling of statutory returns & reports.
. Liasoning with various Government authorities like Railways, State Electricity Board, Excise, Sales Tax, Deptt. Of Industries etc. & advocates / consultants.
. Review tax computation & correctness.
. Review compliance of Sales Tax, Income Tax, Excise, Companys Act and other Rules & Regulations.
. Update knowledge on changed requirements of direct & indirect tax.
. Coordinate with advocates / solicitors on all legal cases of litigations so as to ensure proper administration and faster disposal of the cases.
Internal Control
Review the implementation of established systems, procedures, norms and standards to prevent irregularities and to ensure proper usage of resources.

. Prepare internal deviation reports.
. Take corrective action.
. Identify and suggest improvement in systems and procedures.
Cost Management
Implement & monitor systems and procedures for effective management of cost in the unit.
Collection of projected cost data from various departments.
. Formulate Budget and review actual expenditure (manufacturing overheads) vis--vis budget.
. Review capital expenditure vis--vis sanction and highlight overruns to superiors.
. Analyse value drivers and cost of poor quality to identify key costs.
. Coordinate and interact with operation on cost over runs.
. Ensure effective utilization of funds.
. Identify new areas of cost reduction.
Materials Management
Review and finalize the materials (stores & spares, raw materials, packing bags etc.) procurement plan and coordinate procurement activities to meet the production plan at optimum cost.
Ensure availability of raw material, stores & spares at optimum cost by appropriate inventory control.
. Review annual requirement.
. Review monthly / weekly procurement plan.
. Assist in Order negotiations and finalisation.
. Identify & short list vendors, transporters and handling agents.
. Assist in negotiation with seniors.
. Disposal of surplus material, waste& scrap.
. Identify and develop new vendors.
. Review and Coordinate with plan, CPC & Vendors for change in requirement and take corrective action.
Insurance
Information Technology
Review and ensure effective IT support as per requirement of software and hardware of
the unit for smooth running of the unit and speedy working.
Review of insurance policy and assess the requirement of renewing the same.

. Formulate and recommend IT plans to support the business needs
