As a DG Set Operator at Vortex IT Technology, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our diesel generator sets. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and operate our DG sets, ensuring they perform optimally and reliably to support our IT infrastructure and operations.
Operate and maintain diesel generator sets (DG sets) to ensure continuous and reliable power supply.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on DG sets to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
Monitor generator performance, fuel levels, and other critical parameters, and take corrective actions as needed.- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to DG sets, including electrical and mechanical problems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, fuel consumption, and operational data.
- Coordinate with the facilities team to ensure timely refueling and servicing of DG sets.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all operations comply with company policies and industry standards.- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Minimum Education Qualification:
Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in operating and maintaining DG sets.
Proven experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting diesel generator sets.- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems related to DG sets.
Experience in performing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in generator operation.
Relevant certifications in electrical or mechanical engineering are preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification in DG set operation or maintenance would be an advantage.
