As DevOps/ TechOps engineer you should design, build, and support a global online gaming infrastructure for all game mediums including mobile, social and web. You will be continuously challenged by games launches and security threats. You should be passionate about automation and ensuring high standards.
Required Skill Set & Experience
- 5 Linux Systems Engineering or Admin experience
- 2 yearsrsquo experience working in a virtualized environment.
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools like Puppet and Jenkins.
- Understanding of middleware, proxies and application integration.
- Working knowledge of networking (load balancing, TCP/ IP, Virtual IP, etc.) and other essential networking tools
- Should have the ability to work well with aggressive deadlines and minimal supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A good team player
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support online gaming infrastructure by deploying Online and Live game features.
- Automate processes to increase efficiencies wherever possible.
- Help architect and implement solutions that solve complicated application challenges around performance, scaling, and security.
- Instrument monitoring solutions to gain insight into application performance and understand emerging issues.
- Maintain deployment software and tools (Jenkins, etc.)
- Work closely with developers to ensure on time delivery of services.
- Respond to outages and alerts quickly to ensure availability of our online services.
- Participate in 24x7 on- call support and maintenance activities.
- Refine processes to develop a culture of quality and high availability.
Desired Profile
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.) is a plus
- Experience administering Java based technologies: Spring, JBOSS, Jetty, Tomcat.
- Working knowledge of databases (MySQL, NoSQL, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of shell scripting languages
- Nice to have:
- Experience of Agile Methodologies
- Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, etc.
