Job Title: DevOps Pre-Sales Solution Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps Pre-Sales Solution Architect to lead our DevOps initiatives and drive the design and implementation of cutting-edge solutions for our Global Clients, software development and operations teams. With over 8 years of experience in DevOps roles, you will provide strategic direction, technical leadership, and hands-on expertise to optimize our software delivery processes and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of DevOps practices aligned with our business objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design and implementation of DevOps solutions, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, configuration management, and containerization.

2. Provide strategic guidance and technical leadership on DevOps best practices, tools, and technologies.

3. Architect scalable and resilient systems to support continuous integration, deployment, and delivery of software applications.

4. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle while ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

5. Define and implement processes, standards, and guidelines for DevOps practices across the organization.

6. Mentor and coach team members on DevOps concepts, tools, and methodologies.

7.Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and enhance our DevOps capabilities.

8. Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and performance of DevOps practices and initiatives.

9. Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

10. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

11. Stay updated on emerging DevOps trends, tools, and technologies, and recommend new tools and practices to improve efficiency.

12. Troubleshoot issues related to DevOps processes, tools, and infrastructure, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.

Preferred Requirements:

CI/CD Pipelines:

Ability to design and implement robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines tailored to the organization's specific needs and technology stack.

Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI, including configuration, customization, and optimization.

Expertise in automating build, test, and deployment processes to accelerate software delivery while maintaining high quality and reliability.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef for defining, provisioning, and managing infrastructure resources using code.

Understanding and application of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices to ensure consistent, repeatable, and scalable infrastructure deployments.

Knowledge of version control systems like Git for managing infrastructure code and collaborating with team members.

Containerization and Orchestration:

Extensive experience with containerization technologies such as Docker for packaging applications and dependencies into portable, lightweight containers.

Proficiency in Kubernetes, including cluster setup, configuration, scaling, and management, to orchestrate containerized workloads effectively.

Ability to design and deploy microservices-based applications using container orchestration platforms for improved scalability, reliability, and resource utilization.

Cloud Platforms:

Deep understanding and practical experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including their core services, management tools, and pricing models.

Knowledge of cloud-native services for compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and monitoring, and their integration into DevOps workflows.

Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including cloud migration strategies, workload placement, and interoperability between different cloud providers.

Microservices and Architecture Patterns:

Understanding of microservices architecture principles, patterns, and trade-offs, and their application in designing scalable, resilient, and loosely coupled systems.

Implementation of API management solutions for exposing, securing, and managing microservices APIs, including rate limiting, authentication, and authorization.

Knowledge of service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd for managing communication, observability, and security between microservices in distributed environments.

Monitoring and Logging:

Implementation and configuration of monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk for real-time visibility into application and infrastructure performance.

Setting up alerting mechanisms and automated incident response workflows to detect and address issues proactively, minimizing downtime and impact on users.

Aggregation, analysis, and visualization of log data to gain insights into system behavior, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance.

Security and Compliance:

Adoption of a DevSecOps mindset to embed security into every stage of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and beyond.

Automation of security controls and policy enforcement to ensure consistent and enforceable security measures across environments and deployments.

Continuous Learning and Innovation:

Commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, best practices, and standards in DevOps, cloud computing, automation, and related domains.

Willingness to experiment with new tools, technologies, and approaches, evaluating their potential benefits, risks, and suitability for adoption in the organization's DevOps ecosystem.
