- We are looking for a DevOps Manager to oversee the Cloud Engineering teams for a our Paymode product at Bottomline
- This role will work closely with other Cloud Engineering leadership in the US to help prioritize and manage workload for the team
- Work closely with engineers to help remove impediments and coordinate with other Bottomline teams where there are cross team dependencies
- Ideally the candidate will have a technical background and be able to jump in and help the team work through issues
Responsibilities:
- Assist with backlog prioritization and be able to keep distractions away from the team as much as possible.
- Drive efficiencies for the teams using tools, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
- Resource planning for all developers, including setting targets for utilization on client projects and running projects for internal initiatives.
- Collaboration with delivery managers and development leads on best practices to develop solutions for streamline and update our SDLC and CI/CD automation Pipeline.
- Take part in the hiring, training and staff evaluations.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of management experience, within a DevOps environment
- Expertise using tools like Jira and Advanced workflows to plan and track sprint / team progress.
- Experience in agile software development practices.
- Knowledge of various software development best practices and methodologies, including Agile, Iterative, Scrum, etc
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the business.
- Familiarity with all the deliverables associated with a SDLC.
- Familiarity with merging source code and build management practices.
- Ability to coordinate organize and prioritize work across multiple projects and teams.
- Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries to remove roadblocks and/or increase overall organizational performance.
Technical knowledge in DevOps tools such as: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins/Gitlab, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana/Prometheus, Grafana, Capistrano
Education:
- BS and/or 4 year Degree and/or related experience
