Detailed description:
How You Will Spend Your Days
As a DevOps Lead, you will work with diverse teams to maintain, implement features and create automation solutions and processes for engineering tools by utilizing the latest and most suitable languages and technologies such as Python, REST API, Jenkins, Docker etc. In this role, you will have a great opportunity to maintain and improve engineering and CI/CD environments for various Visteon's engineering teams across the globe.

- Research, design, and development of engineering tools automation solutions
- Maintain and improve existing automation solutions mainly written in Python
- Prepare and provide trainings and documentation of the solutions across the company
- Act as a key member in the internal DevOps community
- Participate in company processes definition, optimization and deployment
- Act as a highly qualified stellar to support the Integration teams
- Provide Continuous Delivery environment helping SW teams to deliver automotive high-quality software products and projects faster
- Working with cross-functional teams to develop the necessary scripts to launch CI/CD on the infrastructure.
- Development methodologies, and reduce time consumed for SW projects development which will lead to R&D Savings across the organization
- Develop and integrate tools/scripts to automate the process of deployment.
- Perform root cause analysis for production issues & troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments
- Adapt to new methodologies which the team implements and work to enhance them
- Develop Groovy scripts for the Jenkins Job for the project team
- Develop the CI/CD work flow based on CI/CD Architecture
- Improve SW validation and quality assurance tooling and processes in Continuous Delivery environment with SW teams
- Ensure build jobs are never failed due to tools reason and infrastructure.
- Constantly monitor the build times and suggest if any modifications or tuning require for the build infrastructure.
- Create efficient reports with respect to usage of build infra
- Work closely with IT team to resolve any issues on hardware.
- Troubleshoot any Jenkins, Artifactory, Electric Accelerator issues.
- Responsible for development, standardizing and deploying Best Practices of Software Development and CI/CD solutions in the company;
- Prepare and provide trainings and documentation of the solutions across company;
- Develop company processes based on the latest DevOps trends and help in optimizing the existing ones;
- Supporting and maintaining already deployed solutions;
- Improve collaboration between different teams and technical skills
- Experience in manage, lead and develop people
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- At least 6-10 years of experience in Automated Deployments using some of the tools like DevOps, CI/ CD, GIT/ RTC, Jenkins, Docker, Artifactory.
- Solid experience with Python
- Solid experience with SCM and planning tools (GIT, GitLab, RTC, Jira and etc.)
- Knowledge of Shell and Batch
- Excellent understanding of tool automation principles and practices (REST API, scripts, UI, SDK)
- Experience with Jenkins, Pipelines, Shared Library
- Familiar with Software development process, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment
- Experience in Linux and Windows
- Experience with tasks estimation and planning
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- Aspiration to deliver the best-in-class user experience with a laser focus on performance and quality
- Able to deploy CI in projects with Good knowledge in Jenkins
- Able to develop Jenkins file and use shared libraries
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
The following will be considered as a plus:
- Experience with Java, Groovy or DSL
- Experience with Python Django framework
- Knowledge in containerization, Docker, Kubernetes and VM's
- Familiar with Agile methodology and SCRUM practices
