As a System Engineering Manager in Professional Services - Global Solution Engineering team you will lead a team of Systems/DevOps engineers, ensuring the seamless delivery of infrastructure support for customer-facing services. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you'll drive team performance, champion DevOps and Agile practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure, high-availability solutions. This role combines leadership, operational excellence, and strategic planning to optimize system performance, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Also you will:
Lead the System Engineering team responsible for onboarding services and providing infrastructure operational support for multiple customer-facing services.
Act as the stand-in for the Head of System Engineering and serve as the escalation point for on-call duties.
Champion Agile methodologies, driving transformation and continuous improvement within the team.
Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements, plan tasks, and ensure successful execution by the Systems Engineering team.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, such as project managers, internal teams, and third parties, to understand service and project roadmaps.
Oversee service support, focusing on minimizing service disruptions, managing incidents, implementing application-level monitoring, service capacity planning, forecasting, business continuity planning, and ensuring security compliance.
Ensure effective resource planning to support service onboarding and provide 24/7 on-call support.
Drive cost optimization efforts on service infrastructure, delivering enhanced operational efficiency and measurable cost reductions.
Establish, monitor, and report team KPIs to measure operational excellence, including quality and timeliness of root cause analyses, requests for change (RFCs), incident responses, and resolutions.
