VIPRE Security Group is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining & monitoring cloud native applications. An ideal candidate will be committed to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, automating AWS cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure related issues.

Responsibilities
- Automation of deployment and configuration of infrastructure
- Automation of code deployments driven by the development team
- Understand the requirements of the DevOps/SRT as we'll as cross functional departments to drive plans, processes and deliverables meeting company, financial and product delivery objectives
- Participate and contribute in design discussions of Infrastructure Architecture
- Provide technical and professional mentorship to team members
- Research, evaluate and select replacement tools and technologies when appropriate ensuring alignment with Vipre goals and standards
- Maintain and Montior AWS Infrastructure to make sure high availability of all the deployed services
- Faster a supportive, collaborative, feedback-oriented culture across teams
- Continually improve availability, scalability, performance and reliability of our services
- Work with a distributed team of engineers
Skills/Experience
- 5+ years of hands on experience in developing and managing AWS based deployments using DevOps methodology and tools
- Knowledge and experience with setting up or maintaining Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- Strong Background in System Administration (Linux, Windows)
- Experience working with Docker container environments
- Scripting Experience - AWS CLI/Python
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and AWS Cloud services
- Knowledge of AWS CDK for Infrastructure as a Code
- Nagios / Prometheus / DataDog / NewRelic exposure - ensuring new code functionality is monitored appropriately
- Knowledge of security best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelors / masters degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
