Summary
Polaris, a global powersports leader, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to work as a member of our growing engineering team. The successful candidate will be core team member tasked with the automation the DevOps testing processes for embedded systems. This is an exciting position on a team building world-class connected rider solutions. As a member of the team, you will have the ability and empowerment to make changes and move quickly. You will have the opportunity to directly impact connectivity, infotainment, and other software projects at Polaris. The ideal candidate is effective in a fast-paced Agile development environment, pushing industry best practices and system maturity. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code
- Building automated processes/testing wherever possible
- Continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
- Coordination and communication within the team, and working with Quality Assurance
- Create dashboards to monitor development processes and make issues visible to the organization
- Participate in Agile meetings such as daily scrum, sprint review, retrospective review, etc.
Skills & Knowledge - Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts.
- An understanding of embedded delivery constraints, deploying, configuring, and debugging distributed systems.
- Experience in tools such as GitHub, C++ compilers with GNU, MAKE, CMAKE, dashboard tools.
- Linux and Yocto project proficiency.
- Basic scripting/programming using Bash or other languages like Python.
- Experience in AWS-hosted design and migration process from in-house to cloud environment.
- 3+ years experience in DevOps for embedded systems
Skills & Knowledge - Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Engineering related field
- Experience with tools like Terraform, Docker, AWS ECS/Fargate, Jenkins, Robot Testing Framework
- Tool Proficiency:
- GitHub: Experience with version control and collaboration using GitHub.
- GitHub Actions: Automate workflows directly in your repository for CI/CD and more custom configurations.
- Jenkins: Knowledge of Jenkins for continuous integration and automation.
- Terraform: Proficiency in infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- EKS (Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service): Understanding of managing Kubernetes clusters on AWS.
- Kubernetes: Knowledge of container orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Testing Framework: Implement and execute automated tests using Robot Framework, Google test, QT test framework, LCOV, Gcovr to capture code coverage,
- Grafana/Prometheus: Dashboards and monitoring
- AWS : AWS services EC2,EKS,ECS,lamda,cloudwatch,vpc, IAM, s3,DynamoDB and more.
- Demonstratable programming experience Python, C/C++ or Java
- Knowledge of the code quality tool Coverity and Black Duck
- Experience with Agile methodology in automotive software development field, preferably SAFe.
- Experience with Infotainment (or similar) software development.
