Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a DevOps Engineer at Cheenta Academy for Olympiad & Research in Kolkata. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to infrastructure as code (IaC), software development, continuous integration, system administration, and Linux.

Infrastructure Setup: Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, Route 53, etc.) for hosting React JS applications.

CI/CD Pipeline: Develop and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

Containerization: Set up Docker containers for React JS applications and deploy them to AWS services such as Elastic Container Service (ECS) or Kubernetes (EKS).

Monitoring & Scaling: Configure monitoring tools (like AWS CloudWatch, Datadog) and handle auto-scaling for efficient and scalable application deployment.

Security: Implement security best practices, including VPC setup, AWS IAM policies, and SSL certifications.

Deployment Management: Perform zero-downtime deployments and rollbacks using AWS services such as Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, or CodeDeploy.

Frontend & Backend Integration: Handle both React JS frontend development and backend deployment using AWS services.

Serverless Deployment: Deploy React JS apps using serverless technologies like AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.

Code Management: Use version control (Git, Bitbucket) and handle deployments via AWS CodeDeploy or other CI/CD tools.

Performance Tuning: Monitor application performance and optimize the infrastructure as needed using AWS performance monitoring tools.
