Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Leadership in Testing: Lead, guide, monitor, and actively participate in the analysis, design, implementation, and execution of both functional and non-functional testing activities for assigned projects.
- Requirements Analysis: Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely, insightful feedback.
- Test Planning: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to ensure thorough coverage.
- Project Coordination: Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities to align with project timelines and goals.
- Automation Development: Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using either open-source or in-house tools to streamline testing processes.
- Defect Management: Identify, record, thoroughly document, and track bugs, ensuring swift resolution.
- Regression Testing: Perform comprehensive regression testing to validate bug fixes and ensure overall system stability.
- Process Development: Develop and implement testing processes for both new and existing products, tailored to meet customer needs and expectations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams, including developers and product managers, to identify and clarify system requirements.
- Debugging Monitoring: Monitor the results of the debugging process, ensuring issues are effectively resolved.
- Non-conformance Investigation: Investigate the root causes of non-conforming software to prevent recurrence.
- Quality Metrics Tracking: Track and report on quality assurance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay current with new testing tools, strategies, and technologies to maintain industry best practices.
Educational Qualification
- Required: B.E. / B.Tech., M.E./M. Tech., or M. Sc. in Computer Science / Electronics Engineering / MCA.
- Preferred: Advanced degree in relevant fields.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Software QA Expertise: Proven work experience in software quality assurance with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Linux/Unix Proficiency: Proven work experience with Linux/Unix systems, including Shell scripting and Python programming.
- Cloud and Kubernetes Experience: Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes (K3S, K8s, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, OCP, etc.).
- Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka is a plus.
- Cloud-Native Environments: Proven experience in setting up cloud-native environments and familiarity with DevOps tools.
- SQL Scripting: Solid knowledge of SQL scripting, including DDL and DML.
- Programming Languages: Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, with Java being preferred.
- Certifications:
- CTFL (ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level) is preferred.
- ISTQB Agile Tester Certification is a plus.
- Agile Testing: Experience with Agile Testing methodologies.
- Tool Proficiency:
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence is preferred.
- Experience with test management tools, particularly Xray, is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English.
