Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Desktop Support professional to join our team at Gig Workplace. As a Desktop Support, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to our employees. This is a full-time position based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 3 years of experience in desktop support.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1 to 3 years of experience in desktop support
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Familiarity with network connectivity and protocols
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and software applications
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure its proper functioning
- Manage user accounts and permissions
- Monitor and respond to IT support tickets
- Educate and assist employees with technology-related queries
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement and support IT infrastructure projects
- Follow IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and system integrity
