- Experienced Mechanical Engineer and adept at providing engineering support to clients in
develop variants of an existing product,
perform design modifications on existing products for address quality and field issues, reduce warranty costs
performing cost optimization of an existing product - Through a systematic design and development process - conceptual design, engineering calculations, detailed design, manufacturing drawings and Bill of Materials release,
- Perform concept, engineering design & manufacturing reviews, perform risk assessments of new designs using DFMEA, DFMA, DFX or similar techniques,
- For Industrial Machineries and Equipment such as Printing, Packaging, Converting, Textile and Paper machineries and discrete product machineries.
Technical skills:
Hands-on working knowledge on
- Mechanical engineering design, perform engineering calculations, Design Reviews (DFX)
- Material selection, Manufacturing processes, Global material standards and specifications
- Metric, Imperial Design Standards, GD&T, Stack-up analysis, Fits & Tolerances
- Should have worked in Machine Design projects.
- Adherence to ISO, DIN, ANSI standards
- Purchased parts selection and specifications, calculations.
- CAD modeling and detailing
- Experience in Machine building and commissioning is added advantage.
Mandatory Tool Skills:
- SolidWorks 2018 and above, CSWP s preferred. UGNX will be an added advantage.
- EPDM and Infor XA applications as per client requirements
- Solidworks Simulation, ANSYS is an added advantage.
- MS Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering. Master s degree will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of Eight (8) years of experience in Industrial Machineries/Equipment and discrete product machineries, of which the last 5 years should be in the areas of design and development of machines, sub-systems or modules.
- Experience in Printing, Packaging and Converting Machines OEM is preferable.
