Role Description
The Design Manager at Tesseract Esports will lead the creative vision for our esports events, overseeing all aspects of visual design from concept to execution. This role requires a blend of creative talent, technical skills, and leadership abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the ideation and conceptualization of key visual elements for esports events, including color palettes, font styles, and overall event graphics
- Develop and manage the design of engaging content such as teasers, trailers, daily reels, and other promotional materials
- Design and animate broadcast graphics that enhance the viewing experience and align with event branding
- Oversee the quality control of all creative outputs, ensuring they meet brand standards and client requirements
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to develop detailed plans for studio construction and design
- Manage and mentor a team of designers, fostering creativity and maintaining high standards of work
- Liaise with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into the creative process
- Ensure all design projects adhere to timelines and budgets
- Stay informed about the latest trends in esports design and implement innovative approaches to improve visual experiences
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a design role, with at least 2 years in a management position
- Proven track record of creating compelling visual designs for digital and physical environments
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, and other relevant tools
- Strong understanding of branding principles and their application in the esports industry
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas effectively to clients and team members
- Experience in esports or gaming industry is highly desirable
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with UI/UX design for digital platforms
- Familiarity with 3D design software
- Understanding of streaming and broadcast technologies used in esports
