Design Manager

The Ideal candidate reporting to The Plant head, candidate should have expertise in Technology Improvement, Process Development, Tool tryout, and other design-related activities of Multi location & Multi plants of a limited companies with the support of team of subordinate engineers.

Key responsibilities-

• Lead a team in designing and developing tools, including hot forging dies, jigs, fixtures, and cutting tools.
• Oversee product and tool design, packaging, and molding processes, especially injection molding.
• Manage workforce, plan raw materials, and coordinate daily operations.
• Develop products from concept to pilot production.
• Coordinate with vendors for die issues and ensure compliance and documentation.
• Present design, development, and tool room progress at MRM meetings.
• Maintain quality standards and ISO documentation.
• Knowledge of ferrous metallurgy and molding processes.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM, with exposure to SAP.
• Experience in technology and processes related to hot forging, machining, heat treatment, and assembly.
• Experience in tool design, workforce management, and raw material planning.
