Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Engineer specialising in Firefighting systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing various fire safety systems and overseeing their implementation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Responsibilities:

Design fire safety systems including sprinkler systems, hydrant lines, fire detection and alarm systems, suppression systems, etc.

• Create detailed drawings and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for fire safety projects.

Conduct site visits across India to assess existing site conditions, take measurements, and gather relevant information for project planning and execution.

• Collaborate with project engineers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs meet client requirements and regulatory standards.

Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

• Prepare quotations for fire safety projects based on design specifications and cost estimates.

Assist in testing and commissioning activities, ensuring that installed systems function effectively and meet performance criteria.

• Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Experience or certification in draftsmanship.

Proficiency in CAD software for creating technical drawings.

• Strong understanding of fire safety principles, codes, and standards including the National Building Code (NBC) and relevant Indian and foreign standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to travel extensively for site visits and project assignments.

• Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Experience in installation, testing and commissioning of fire safety systems.

• Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and guidelines.

Previous experience in preparing quotations for construction projects.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
