Responsibilities
- Equipment Design: Create and specify mechanical components for vessels and equipment.
- Engineering Calculations: Perform calculations to ensure structural integrity.
- Drawing Preparation: Develop detailed engineering drawings defining technical requirements.
- Specifications Development: Outline technical and quality requirements for equipment procurement.
- Technical Evaluations: Address design issues, offering solutions and recommendations.
- Vendor Document Review: Ensure vendor compliance with project standards through document reviews.
- Communication Liaison: Facilitate collaboration among clients, vendors, and disciplines.
- Mentorship: Guide and develop less experienced engineers.
- Standards Adherence: Stay updated on national and international engineering standards.
- Coordination: Work with construction teams and subcontractors for project execution.
- Quality Assurance: Promote quality during fabrication and participate in inspections.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/DME-Mech).
- Experience with ASME codes, specifically Section VIII, Division 1.
- Proficiency in PV Elite Software and AutoCAD.
- Ability to interpret technical prints and tolerances.
Preferred Skills:
- 5+ years as a QC Inspector, specifically in pressure vessel construction, piping, and structural welding.
- Fabrication or machining experience.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Positive work attitude and attendance.
Experience
- 8-10 years in a similar role within a reputable organization, preferably involving PV550 equipment.
