About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Power Systems. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling projects independently, requiring minimal knowledge transfer. This role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical power systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
You are expected to do:
- Manage the complete lifecycle of electrical power system projects with minimal supervision. This includes project planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
- Develop detailed electrical designs for power systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings. Conduct system modelling and simulations to validate design choices.
- Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex electrical issues during design, installation, and operational phases.
- Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC, IEC). Implement safety measures and conduct risk assessments.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients.
Requirements
You will be a great fit if you have:
- 4 - 8 years of relevant work experience with B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in designing SLD/3-lines/control schematics, Electrical control panels, MV Switchgear Panels, Substations, MCC and PCC panels etc.
- Sound knowledge in Breaker sizing, Cable sizing, Busbar sizing, cable routing etc.
- Hands on experience with NFPA, NEC, NEMA and UL standards-Preferred.
- Experience in electrical component selection and BOM preparation.
- Knowledge of various protection schemes.
- Working experience in software's like AUTO CAD (Mandatory).
