- Managing selected projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications.
- Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design
- Providing technical advice to project team members.
- Reviewing and ensuring compliance in the components of the project for which responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications and studies.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients on projects.

- Being familiar with, and compliant with, relevant H & S regulations and promoting a culture of awareness within the team.

Role accountabilities:
- To take on a key role within the Rail OLE discipline, supporting principal engineer to build the team further.
- To manage selected projects (or parts of projects) meeting budgetary, quality and timeframe targets
- To assist principal engineer/Technical discipline lead in developing technical capability of the OLE team.
- To carry out tasks assigned by Team leads.
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.E / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
- 0-5 years for engineer and 5-10 years for design engineer - experience in design of OLE services for Rail projects.
- Knowledge of code & standards and practices of Rail industry.
- Proven design experience; including concept, preliminary, detailed, construction phases.
- Has thorough technical knowledge of ;
- Cross section design
- Layout plans
- Allocation design
- Earthing and bonding systems
- Preparation and checking of technical specifications, design basis reports, etc.
- Well conversant with health, safety and CDM aspects related to typical Rail systems project.
- Ability to carry out design reviews independently.
- Familiar with international codes, Network Rail and London Underground standards and practices related to UK Rail industry.
- Experience within a consultancy environment specifically in the Rail / Metro industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language, with good report writing, analytical and computer skills.
- Ability to think in an innovative manner.
