Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nursing Staff Supervision & Leadership
    • Oversee and manage nursing staff, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and healthcare standards.
    • Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring nursing personnel.
    • Ensure proper staffing levels and allocate resources based on patient needs.
  • Patient Care Management
    • Monitor and evaluate patient care services to maintain quality and safety standards.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans and ensure continuity of care.
    • Address and resolve patient complaints and issues promptly.
  • Operational and Administrative Duties
    • Support the Nursing Superintendent in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the nursing department.
    • Manage scheduling, leave requests, and shift assignments to ensure coverage.
    • Oversee inventory and ensure the availability of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and quality benchmarks.
    • Conduct audits, inspections, and quality assessments of nursing services.
    • Participate in accreditation processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Training & Development
    • Coordinate and organize professional development programs for nursing staff.
    • Conduct training sessions on new protocols, safety measures, and technology updates.
    • Encourage skill development and up-to-date knowledge within the nursing team.
  • Budgeting & Financial Management
    • Assist in budget planning for the nursing department, including cost control measures.
    • Monitor and manage expenses, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
