Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Process Layout Planning for Green Field and Brown filed project
- Layout & Material Flow optimization
- Equipment layout planning & execution.
- Process automation concept development & implementation.
- Lead the design and development of transmission systems, focusing on integration with internal combustion or electric engines.
- Work with vehicle integration teams to ensure proper packaging and integration of the transmission with the engine and chassis.
- Address and resolve any issues related to transmission behaviour, performance, or reliability during the design, testing, and production phases.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for field issues related to transmission performance.
- Plan and conduct performance testing of transmission systems, using both virtual simulations and physical prototypes.
- Work with testing teams to ensure the durability, efficiency, and noise/vibration/harshness (NVH) levels of the transmission meet quality standards.
- Material Handling & storage Equipment planning and Execution, stores / Ware house planning & execution
- Lean manufacturing & Ergonomics.
- PFC, PFMEA, CP, DFMEA, MFMEA, DAP
- Work measurement techniques (MOST), manpower and other resource planning.
- Packaging selection for parts. Inbound & Outbound logistics upto sign-off
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink) for performance analysis.
- Familiarity with engine control and transmission control strategies, including ECU and TCU communication.
Experience
3 to 10 years of experience in Engine Assembly / Testing, Transmission, Manufacturing.
