JOB SUMMARY
The Test Analyst Lead plays a pivotal role in the software development lifecycle by ensuring that software products meet the highest quality standards before they are released. This position involves a comprehensive understanding of both the technical and managerial aspects of software testing. The Test Analyst Lead is responsible for designing and implementing test strategies, coordinating with various stakeholders, and leading a team of testers to execute these strategies effectively. They must possess a deep knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, and be able to adapt to the evolving needs of the project. Additionally, the role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage the testing team, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all testing activities are aligned with the overall project goals. The Test Analyst Lead also plays a crucial role in risk management by identifying potential issues early in the development process and working proactively to mitigate them. This ensures that the final product is not only functional but also reliable and user-friendly.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a team of digital testers, providing guidance and support.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans and methodologies for digital products.
- Oversee and/or execute the creation and maintenance of test cases, test scripts and test environments readiness.
- Supervise and monitor team members within the team in executing testing activities for the relevant software/ application/ platform.
- Collaborate with the subject matter experts in the planning, implementation and reporting of required testing activities in accordance with the current standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Analyze and report findings based on study results and tester feedback to ensure the developed software/ applications/ platforms are relevant and meet user needs and requirements.
- Work closely with the technical team in preparing the testing scripts as well as providing relevant information during the troubleshooting activity regarding identified technical issues.
- Prepare and update the relevant governance related documentation, process flows, processes, templates etc., such as the relevant MO/ AK, as and when required.
- Engage in discussions during the implementation, system testing, project documentation according to project management practices.
- Assist in training and mentoring team members within the team to improve relevant skills and knowledge.
- Provide assistance in beta community engagement and testing to gather feedback on pre-release products. Communicate with the community members to understand their experience and suggestions.
- If required, be able to create and write user stories and business requirements to fill in the gap as Business Analyst (BA) or Product Owner (PO) whenever the need arises.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Malaysian citizen
- Passed the Malaysian Language (including passing the Oral Test) at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia level or a qualification recognized as equivalent by the government
- Possess a Bachelor's degree with honors in Computer Science or a recognized equivalent qualification in a related field approved by the government.
- At least 8 years of experience is software testing or quality assurance, with a strong understanding of agile methodologies.
- Experience in leading a testing team of medium or large size in projects involving digital products or platforms (Web and Mobile Apps).
- Passed the Malaysian Language (including passing the Oral Test) at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia level or a qualification recognized as equivalent by the government.
- Additional qualifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester (CTFL or CTAL) or related agile methodologies, are an added advantage
- In-depth understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, as well as experience working with Scrum teams in digital product development.
- Proficiency in a tool such as Jira, X-ray or related tools is highly desirable.
- Experience in a test automation framework using Selenium is a plus.
- Experience in the social security/ protection organization/ institution is a plus
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
