Job Description
Maintain the Teradata environments which support Vodafone Group's key business applications
- Provide best customer experience on service performance due to regular system reviews and pro-active performance and resilience improvements
- Assure correct database configuration and proper documentation of all relevant changes within the DB infrastructure
- Support supplier's 3rd level and engineering in root cause analysis and remediation of problems in their products
- To come up with ideas to enhance the system

- Solve incident & problem tickets and service requests from the 1st level and other departments
- Support migration of new & changed software, elaborate and perform production checks
- Managing performance, stability and reliability of the systems
- Publish daily / weekly / monthly status reports to users & IT stake holders.
- Support for scheduled activities (release support and changes for production).
- Participate in discussion with development team for new issues in production.
- Vendor management and coordination for issues / fixes.
Must Have
Essential
High knowledge of Teradata Systems and Teradata related products like PDCR, Viewpoint, TASM, DSA, Teradata Utilities etc
Profound knowledge of SQL and Query Tuning
Good knowledge of ITIL is mandatory
Experience
- 2 to 3 Years of Teradata DBA Experience
- Good knowledge of Pearl/Shell Scripting
- Good working knowledge of Linux
- Good knowledge of SOX regulations
Must have technical / professional qualifications: B.E/Btech/MCA/MCS
