The BOP cost analysts team leader is within programs responsible for the calculation of target costs.
And to evaluate the technical and economical estimations of concepts and engineering changes, of all automotive interior bought-out parts.
- The BOP cost analyst team lead is responsible for settling of all the work packages of the function according to the current version of the program management system (PMS). Among the tasks mentioned in PMS, the BOPs cost analyst team lead has the following most important tasks and responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Cost Analysts for developing FReC (Faurecia Reference Costing for Suppliers)
- Analyzing of the RFQ documents
- Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings
- Verification of the technical and economical feasibility
- For certain technologies the preparation of a process flow with subsequent validation by GTS (Global Technology & Standard)
- Calculation of the purchase prices EXW for the manufacturing of bought-out parts (BOP)
- Creation of a costing file according to Faurecia Reference Costing (FReC) methodology to calculate the purchase price
- Creation of a BOP summary file according to FReC template including the agreed values
from Purchasing dept. (based on FReC values) and monitoring of its implementation into the inhouse costing file
- Supporting the elaboration of a pricing file for all BOP in the relevant OEM template (e.g.
- Verification of BOP supplier offers/BOP purchase prices
- Support of Purchasing dept. in negotiations with suppliers during all program phases
(acquisition, development, serial life) by delivering needed outputs
- Distribution of the costing results to the requestor (Program Manager, Program Buyer)
- Estimation of engineering changes and implementation into the FReC files
- Support of regularly updating of the FReC files
- Monitoring and illustration of the FReC result development
- Conditioning of the FReC results for management presentations
- Respect the delivery and Quality commitments for the output of work packages
- Foster & develop a strong network with the CBUs across the Globe to improve collaboration and communication
- Others
- Coordinate and challenge of the assumptions of all relevant and necessary
experts and interface functions to define the piece costs
- Close collaboration with Cost Analysts (In house and Tools)
- Calculation of alternative / competitor products (Benchmarking)
- Support for maintaining of the existing databases
- Support for development of costing fundamentals and software tools
- Introduction of constructive improvement ideas
- Support program managers/ resp. sales engineers during negotiations with the
Customer by creating needed output
Qualifications
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Bachleor's / Master's degree in Engineering or Economics degree in engineering/Diploma, with a specialisation in Automotive Production
- Minimum 10/15 years experience in an industrial environment including a first technical experience (production, manufacturing engineering,)
- Technical products oriented
- Knowledge on several supplier technologies is a plus
- Demonstrated strong communication, analytical and synthesis skills
- Fluent in 2 languages including English
- French / German language basics knowledge could be a plus but not mandatory
