Position Title
Assistant Manager Partnerships & School Engagement (South Asia)
Purpose
This position is responsible for developing and managing Deakin University's Schools and Institutional collaborations primarily in India and to a limited extent in the rest of South Asia. The role is to work closely with schools and institutional partners and other academic stakeholders besides developing new ones aligned to bigger organizational strategic goals.
Also continue to support recruitment through other verticals in parallel and contribute to the University's student recruitment drives across other verticals as well.
The position may require you to undertake interstate and international travel as required, including an expectation of working outside normal hours with restrictions on taking leave during peak work periods.

Mandatory Skills-
Training/Qualifications (or equivalent experience): A postgraduate degree in Management and / or a combination of relevant experience.
Experience: 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in marketing

- A strong customer focused attitude including enthusiasm, tact, with a strong intent to achieve a positive outcome, and the ability to communicate with a culturally diverse range of clients.
- Experience of working in student recruitment, business development, marketing role
- Network & Relationship with Schools & Educational institutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in written and oral form
- Ability to develop, plan and facilitate group sessions.
- Capacity to work to tight timelines and demonstrated strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative work teams.
Key Responsibilities
- To play vital role in Stakeholder Engagement, Stakeholder Management, education consulting, student recruitment, Student Counseling, Marketing Event Planning, Strategic Planning, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Communications Planning, Establishing Strategic Partnerships
- Prepare, Plan, and execute strategies in consultation with the management from budgets to student enrolment.
- Implement strategies for schools and institutions and develop long-term revenue generating associations.
- Take complete ownership of vertical and be solely responsible to ensure that the agreed activities are delivered as stipulated in the calendar.
- To develop Schools Liaison strategy that supports University Objectives and ensures strategic partnerships and long-term business relationship.
- Report on a weekly basis and discuss on the same line identified needs/constraints and resolution thereof.
- Conduct institutional/school visits (virtual and in-person as required) in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities to build relationships with school staff and deliver presentations advising high school/institutions students about applying to the University.
- Conducting telephone follow up with school principal/ counselors/ institutional international wing officials or equivalent for meetings towards partnering with them
- Develop Hybrid and Futuristic models with Strategic Partners
- To provide management with insights on market conditions, pricing, competitor activities and customer behavior in the India marketplace for Australia destination
- To keep up to date with external changes affecting student recruitment
- Support overall recruitment activity as and when required in the absence of relevant counterpart from agent network.
