Job Summary:
The Senior Benefits Administrator is responsible for operational tasks associated with defined benefit plans in compliance with plan provisions. The Administrator assists in maintaining pension data, payment, payroll administration and calculates benefits. The employee is expected to pursue continued education by appearing in professional examinations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
. Manage the basic to medium complex data processing activities assigned to you
. Quality data collation and validation to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data
. Research on participant records, process payroll, qualifications, payments and reconciliation
. Work on various applications to process participants request within service level standards
. Performs system testing as assigned
. Coordinate with fulfillment for letters, documentations, statements and confirmation mails
. Provide support for special projects and other tasks as needed
. Accurately bills time to ensure client's billings are correct
. Ensures quality service to existing clients
. Ensures all work product is processed according to Milliman's peer review guidelines.
. Mentor and coordinate peers in their day-to-day activities
. Create and maintain SOP/Process documents as and when needed
. Review third party interface activities accurately
. Identify process improvement ideas
Required Skills & Attributes:
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
. Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
. Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
Required Qualifications:
. 2+ years of experience into Defined Benefits administration
. Bachelor's degree in any discipline
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
. High integrity and discretion to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive client data
. Certifications in US Benefits would be an added advantage
. Ability to work in a team environment and individually
. Effective planning and priority setting
. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
