We are seeking a highly motivated Database Development Intern to join our team. This internship provides university students and recent graduates with hands-on experience in advanced technologies, the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and essential skills development for careers in technology. Spanning 3 to 6 months, our internship program offers challenging assignments and encourages collaboration across the organization, benefiting both DKI Health and the intern.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets to extract valuable insights.
- Aid in designing and developing data models and machine learning algorithms.
- Create and refine data visualizations and generate comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate with team members to address and solve complex data challenges.
- Ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of data through effective collaboration with data engineers and analysts.
- Execute tasks related to data scraping, extraction, transformation, and integration, including AI model creation and ETL processes.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and analysis.
- Manage and process data in various formats such as JSON and CSV for integration into systems.
- Contribute to the development of database documentation, including data dictionaries and schemas.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to database functionality.
- Stay informed about emerging database technologies and best practices to enhance data management strategies.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of database concepts, including relational databases, SQL, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL processes.
- Familiarity working with JSON and CSV data formats.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
