Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement efficient database schemas, tables, and stored procedures to support various business applications.
Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to optimize database performance and meet business requirements.
Collaborate with application developers to ensure seamless integration between the database and the application layer.
Perform database administration tasks, including backup, recovery, and monitoring, to ensure the integrity and availability of the database systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks, and implement appropriate optimization strategies.
Participate in the development and implementation of database-related policies, standards, and best practices.
Provide technical support and guidance to the development team and other stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends.
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Developer, with expertise in both PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Strong proficiency in SQL, including advanced SQL techniques, such as window functions, complex queries, and stored procedures.
Experience in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with database administration tasks, such as backup, recovery, and monitoring.
Understanding of database security best practices and implementation.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively.
Adaptability to change and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in data modeling and database architecture design.
Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions, such as Amazon RDS or Google Cloud SQL.
To be able to convert stored procedures from Postgres to MySQL - Mandatory
Familiarity with version control systems and deployment automation tools.
Strong analytical and critical thinkingskills.
