Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for reporting, analytics, and application features.
- Design and implement stored procedures, triggers, and views to automate tasks and ensure efficient data management.
- Manage and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Analyze and optimize query performance using indexing, query optimization techniques, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with application developers to design database structures and integrate with backend systems.
- Create and maintain documentation related to database designs, queries, and processes.
- Implement data backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Work on data migration projects, ensuring accurate and efficient transfer of data between systems.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure database integrity and accuracy through test cases and data validation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in MySQL or any relational database management system (RDBMS).
- Strong understanding of SQL and experience writing complex queries, joins, and subqueries.
- Experience in creating and maintaining stored procedures, triggers, and views.
- Knowledge of database normalization and schema design best practices.
- Experience in database performance tuning and optimization (e.g., indexing, query optimization).
- Familiarity with data modeling, ER diagrams, and database design principles.
- Solid understanding of data integrity, transactions, and ACID properties.
- Hands-on experience with database backups, restores, and recovery strategies.
- Understanding of MySQL replication and clustering for high availability solutions.
