Database and ETL Tester

• 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience

• 5+ years of ETL Processes/ Data Warehouse Testing experience.

• Hands-on experience in ORACLE database technologies

• Strong expertise in ORACLE SQL and PL/SQL scripting

• Proficient in defect tracking/Quality assurance tools such as ALM and JIRA

• Knowledge of automated testing is a plus.

• Financial domain experience is a plus.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Understanding of business and attention to detail

• Competent technical skills

• Ability to work in a team and individually.

• Experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/SCRUM environment.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

• Reviews requirements and specifications, and defines test conditions

• Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to predetermined criteria, recording and reporting outcomes

• Experience in preparing Test Strategy, developing Test Plan, Detailed Test Cases, writing Test Scripts by decomposing Business Requirements, and developing Test Scenarios to support quality deliverable

• Analyses and reports test activities and results

• Identifies and reports issues and risks associated with own work

• Relational database experience covering writing queries, manipulating test data through SQL statements

• Proven experience in testing following Agile/Scrum methodology

• Writing SQL queries including complicated joins to verify proper mapping of data elements

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
