Role Description
We are searching for a talented Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing company. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, security, and integrity of our critical databases.
Responsibilities:
- Design, install, configure, and maintain our database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Implement and enforce data security measures to safeguard sensitive information
- Develop and execute regular backups and disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Optimize database queries and structures for efficient data retrieval
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure database health
- Work with developers and other IT professionals to ensure data integrity across applications
- Stay up-to-date on the latest database technologies and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and database administration tools
- Experience with database security best practices (e.g., access control, encryption)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database)
