As a Cyber Defence Analyst, you will be responsible for protecting our organizations digital assets by proactively monitoring, analysing, and responding to cyber threats
You will be aligned with lead analysts and collaborate with various departments to ensure the security of our systems and data
To enhance and optimize security solutions by implementing advanced strategies and technologies, ensuring robust protection against threats and vulnerabilities
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to stay ahead of emerging threats
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security awareness and promote a culture of cybersecurity within the organization.
Participate in security incident tabletop exercises and contribute to the refinement of incident response plans.
Evaluate current security infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to detect potential weaknesses.
Monitor network traffic and security events using advanced threat detection tools.
Analyse security alerts and investigate potential incidents to determine their severity and impact.
Develop and maintain threat intelligence sources to stay informed about the latest cyber threats and attack techniques.
Incident response efforts during cybersecurity incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to remediate security vulnerabilities and implement necessary safeguards.
Document incident response procedures and lessons learned to improve the organizations overall security posture.
Ensure that security solutions comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Document security protocols, procedures, and configurations for reference and audits.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
Experience with security tools and solutions (e.g., SIEM tool, SOAR, UEBA, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
Proficiency in risk assessment.
Familiarity with compliance requirements and industry standards (ISO 27001, ISMS Policy).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with IT teams.
Education:
Graduation: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
Post-Graduation: Master of Science (M.Sc) /Master of Technology (M.Tech) / Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
