Job Roles And Responsibilities
- **Data Transformation:** Lead efforts in using data as an enterprise asset by modernizing data platforms on AWS and Snowflake.
- **Database Administration:** Manage and optimize the Snowflake environment, build automation, and establish metrics.
- **Support and Automation:** Work with MS SQL or Snowflake support for issue resolution, and implement automation for production deployments.
- **Centralized Data Platform:** Develop and maintain a centralized data platform using SQL/Snowflake.
- **Troubleshooting:** Diagnose and resolve database errors, implement user/query log analysis, and alerts.
- **User Support:** Assist diverse user groups, including data engineers and data scientists.
- **Data Security:** Implement data encryption, decryption, masking policies, and security roles.
- **Technical Leadership:** Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and team support.
- **On-call Responsibilities:** Participate in rotational on-call duties for Snowflake database administration.
- **Process Optimization:** Develop processes for database security, standards maintenance, and automation.
Mandatory Skills
- **Experience:** Minimum 3 years in MS SQL or Snowflake as a DBA.
- **Technical Proficiency:** Expertise in complex SQL queries, database security, backup, recovery, and performance monitoring.
- **Cloud Services:** Experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- **Communication:** Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- **Attention to Detail:** Impeccable attention to detail.
Education And Experience Requirements
- **Degree:** Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- **Experience:** 3+ years in database administration or architecture.
- **Certifications:** Preferred database-related certifications.
- **Technologies:** Extensive experience with Snowflake, Teradata, BigQuery, SQL Server, or MongoDB.
