Develop and maintain a metadata management framework to document data definitions, lineage, and usage within the organization.
Implement tools and processes to capture and store metadata associated with data assets.
Design and implement data quality assessment processes to identify and address data quality issues.
Collaborate with data stewards and business units to establish and monitor data quality metrics.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure data privacy and security measures are in place.
Implement and monitor access controls, encryption, and data masking techniques to safeguard sensitive information.
Conduct training sessions to raise awareness of data governance principles and practices.
Provide guidance and support to employees on adhering to data governance policies.
Continuously assess and enhance the data governance framework based on industry best practices and organizational needs.
Work closely with business units, IT, legal, and compliance teams to foster a collaborative data governance culture.
Communicate the benefits of data governance to stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
