Job Description
The Data Scientist II at ALLEN Digital will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the most valuable business solutions for the organization. The primary focus will be on developing EdTech content recommender systems to recommend the right content to study at any point in time.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect large amounts of data using analytical, statistical, and programmable skills.
- Interpret the raw data and extract valuable meaning out of it.
- Use statistical and analytical methods plus AI tools to automate specific processes within the organization and develop smart solutions to business challenges.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their goals and determine how data can be used to achieve those goals.
- Design data modeling processes, create algorithms and predictive models to extract the data the business needs.
- Develop and implement EdTech content recommender systems.
- Evaluate the influence of the order of recommendations on user exploratory behavior, and the impact of the choice of the recommendation algorithm on engagement and learning.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or equivalent.
- A total of 2-6 years of experience, including at least 2 years in roles involving recommendation systems
