We are looking for a highly motivated and a self-starter Data Scientist to help understand and build predictability around business performance; and support scoping, launch and measuring impact of product initiatives. This person should be able to provide meaningful insights into business performance.
The incumbent will work closely with analysts and business community on a day-to-day basis. We are looking for someone with exceptional data mining, analytical and visualization skills and excellent communication skills along with the ability to work in an on/offshore model. The candidate should have an eye for detail and be able to own creation and maintenance of ETL workflows that feed into key dashboards while being able to derive key actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
- Owning a full suite of Marketing data projects and products; from data pipelines to our marketing platforms, BI/reporting, Insight generation and story boarding for stakeholders
- Developing experimentation frameworks to improve the targeting of our marketing strategy through segmentation and assessing incremental impact of campaigns through AB Testing.
- Build and automate dashboards and compelling data visualizations to provide meaningful insights into business performance and to effectively communicate findings, trends, and conclusions to diverse stakeholders.
- Working with marketing managers, data engineers and product owners to maintain and improve measurement capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members located in different time zones to ensure efficient communication and coordination for project deliverables.
- Analyse complex data sets using advanced analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Conduct thorough research to gain a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, customer behaviour, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define key performance metrics, track progress, and present insights and recommendations for business growth and development.
- Partner directly with business and product analysts to understand business needs for insights and analytics.
Requirements:
- Bachelors /master s degree in business / marketing / IT / Statistics , specializing in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in data visualization, data analysis, extracting data from multiple sources, transforming into meaningful information and delivering meaningful insights
- Working knowledge of statistics with ability to define hypothesis and conduct AB Testing
- Experience with Marketing Attribution Models, Funnel Optimizations and Spend efficiency.
- Worked in the Digital marketing space with knowledge of various marketing channels like Organic, Paid, CRM will be an added plus.
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, independent, organized, and proactive, highly responsive, flexible and adaptable when working across multiple teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Analytical toolset:
- Advanced SQL and data manipulation skills. Should have experience working with data models.
- Experience with Hypothesis and AB Testing, Regression Analysis, Clustering and Time Series Forecasting
- Hands-on experience working with Python programming is preferrable.
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Good experience with one or more databases like Redshift, Postgres, Oracle, DBT, Teradata, MySQL etc and working on large datasets.
- Proficient in using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude or others is a plus.
- Experience working in cloud environment such as AWS, GCP is a plus.
