This is a remote, contract based role for 3 - 6 months with possibility of extension. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing Machine Learning models and Generative AI solutions. You will work closely with ML Engineers, Data Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure our AI applications are robust, scalable, and impactful.
Roles and Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Own and develop Machine Learning solutions to solve unstructured, complex business problems
- Maintain and optimize existing Machine Learning solutions and improve them with more efficient methods
- Monitor models performance in production to ensure the highest quality level, report on development status, identify risk areas and support the Data Science team
- Build state-of-the-art cost-efficient solutions leveraging GenAI models for multiple use cases (summarisation, classification, chatbots)
- Perform statistical analysis on existing and new datasets to help SME stakeholders identify areas for improvement
- Communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders successfully
- Research new methods and techniques in AI/ML to improve processes and methodologies
Required Skills The individual applying for this role must have 2-4 years of experience as a Data Scientist building production-ready Machine Learning solutions. - Experience with common Machine Learning frameworks and methods and developing business-oriented data solutions (e.g., data mining, process optimization, predictive modeling)
- Experience building GenAI solutions with LLMs and familiarity with both open-source and Proprietary LLMs
- Proficiency in using Databricks for developing and managing machine learning workflows
- A background in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Maths, Statistics, Engineering), or a PhD with a focus on quantitative methodologies. Don t be afraid to apply for this role if you come from a different background, as long as you have relevant experience
- Strong coding skills: Python (it s a must), SQL, PySpark, and R are used across multiple projects
- Hands-on experience with Machine Learning libraries such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or H2O
- Hands-on experience with LLMs to build RAG solutions using Hugging Face, LangChain, and/or OpenAI models
- Problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a creative mindset

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and remain composed under pressure
- A good level of English is expected (C1/C2)
