What is the roles objective
- Work with team to identify and answer important business questions that provide insights to shape our e-business strategy with a focus on Cross / Up Sell to existing Customers
- Extract data from relevant in-house data sources that captures actual online sales & apply statistical as well as machine learning techniques that help in overall improvement of online transactions
- Implement solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, and machine learning techniques and statistics that help team to personalize user experience on our e-commerce website (& apps)
- Design & implement experiments that constantly improve sales from e-commerce channels of the organization
- Define rules to develop the algorithms that help increase focus on specific user segments thereby improving conversions, user retention & engagement
- Define, track & evolve success metrics for the experiments
What skills do you need to possess
- Demonstrated aptitude for independent research based on past projects
- Strong applied statistics and data visualization skills with ability to identify trends and develop insights from complex data.
- Ability to evaluate different algorithmic approaches and analyze data to solve problems
- Proficient with relational databases and SQL
- Proficient with at least one scripting language (e.g. Python)
- Proficient with at least one statistical software package (e.g. R, MatLab, or NumPy, SciPy, Pandas)
- Communicates technical concepts clearly and concisely in oral and written form
- Ability to coordinate effectively with team members in engineering and product.
- Attitude to work in a fast paced and continuously changing environment
What is the prior experience needed
- 3+ years of experience in relevant roles
What qualification you should have
- Bachelors or Masters in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Operations Research, or related technical field
