JobDescription:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our manufacturing analytics team. The successful candidate will leverage advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Modeling:
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various manufacturing systems and sensors.
- Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze manufacturing data.
- Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in production data to drive process improvements and predict equipment failures.
- Process Optimization:
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement data-driven solutions.
- Predictive Maintenance:
- Develop predictive maintenance models to forecast equipment failures and schedule preventive maintenance.
- Monitor real-time data from sensors and IoT devices to predict and prevent downtime.
- Reporting and Visualization:
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders.
- Visualize complex data sets in a clear and concise manner for decision-making purposes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality assurance, and IT.
- Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions and present findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field. Master's or PhD preferred.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of big data technologies and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and industrial IoT is preferred.
