The Group Security (GS) team protects the Bank and our customers from cyber compromise, through proactive management of cyber security, privacy, and operational risk. Our team includes:

The Group Security Data Engineering team provides specialised data services and platforms for the CommBank group & is accountable for developing Group's data strategy, data policy & standards, governance and set requirements for data enablers/tools. The team is also accountable to facilitate a community of practitioners to share best practice and build data talent and capabilities.

We are looking for an experienced Data Quality Engineer to join our Group Security Team, which is part of the wider Cyber Security Engineering practice. In your role as Data Engineer, you will be required to setup Group Security Data Platform to ingests data (structured and unstructured) from organisations security telemetry data with additional data assets to provide security controls and services that are leveraged across the Group.
Roles & Responsibilities
You will be expected to perform the following tasks in a manner consistent with CBA's Values and People Capabilities.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Data Quality Engineer,
- Perform Static Test reviews of the Business Requirements/ User Stories documents and develop test conditions and test cases for phase level testing using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Execute testing and record test results in an appropriate system to identify and raise defects.
- Create comprehensive test data combinations to ensure the correct test coverage.
- Develop a continuous improvement mindset in team and project interactions.
- Develop Testing automation scripts to ease the manual testing efforts.
- Apply a risk management approach to achieve consistency and compliance with CBA testing standards.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that test outcomes are achieved in the most efficient way.
- Ensure test environments are managed to ensure high quality testing outcomes are achieved.
- Create Test Plan and schedule test phases to ensure that consensus is reached regarding all test effort required for delivery.
- Provide accurate and timely status reporting to ensure that test progress and issues are understood by all relevant Stakeholders.
- Responsible for enhancing and extending the automation library and framework.
- Experience with developing and executing automation suites.
- Experience with SQL, Tomcat, Linux, and Java.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues required.
- Passionate for finding bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code using automation tools.
- Understanding the requirements from concerned teams, preparing execution plans, devising automation strategy and automation of test cases.
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and architecture to provide automated solutions to complex problems.
- Identifying and selecting the automation test cases

Essential Skills:-
- About 4-7 years in the capacity of Quality Engineering professional in a data intensive environment with:
- Able to test solutions that are fit for purpose, perform well with large data volume and complex data transformation rules.
- Understanding testing of ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes and practices
- SQL & Relational Databases
- Test driven development using BDD.
- Communication and presentation skills
- Programming skills with testing frameworks
- Ability to use Linux / Unix environments for development and testing.
- Shell Scripting experience
- Big data knowledge mandatory
- Abinitio product knowledge is a major value add.
- AWS (Amazon Web Services) knowledge preferred.
Education Qualification :-
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
