Purpose of the role
The Data Protection and Compliance Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Data Protection and Compliance Coordination Manager (DPCCM) to ensure that Indicia Worldwide meets all legal and internal requirements related to data protection and compliance. This role is essential in maintaining and enhancing our companys data protection framework, ensuring compliance with global regulations, and mitigating potential risks. The Analyst will be responsible for assisting with monitoring, documenting, and optimizing data protection and compliance processes across the organization, while also serving as a first point of contact for day-to-day queries via the group inbox.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Monitoring and Reporting
  • Monitor and interpret regulations applicable to the company
  • Maintain proper documentation of compliance activities and issues.
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries and data requests.
Risk Assessment and Management
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance.
  • Assist in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Track compliance risks
Internal Auditing
  • Conduct compliance audits and reviews to ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Prepare audit reports, highlight issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely resolution.
Policy and Procedure Development
  • Help design, develop, and update compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that internal policies are in line with external regulations.
  • Communicate new policies or updates to relevant departments and staff.
Training and Awareness Programs
  • Ensure staff are aware of their responsibilities and obligations under applicable regulations.
  • Foster a culture of compliance within the organization.
Support in Regulatory Filings
  • Assist in preparing and submitting filings, registrations, and applications to regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure all submissions are accurate and timely.
Deputise for the DPCCM
  • Ensure the organisation comply with data privacy and compliance legislation including but not limited to GDPR
  • Serve as a first point of contact for day-to-day data protection and compliance queries, ensuring that data protection and compliance considerations are integrated into all client and new business activities.
  • Assist the DPCCM by acting as a secondary point of contact for the data protection officer at KM BEU and liaise with the DPCCM to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Monitor the data protection and compliance group inbox and respond to internal queries.
Skills, knowledge, experience and exposure
  • Ideally minimum 2 years of experience with global data protection regulations such as GDPR is essential.
  • Experience in conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) , managing subject access requests (SARs) , and handling data breaches is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with data protection practices, principles, and methodologies
  • Able to analyze compliance issues, identify potential risks, and develop and implement compliance solutions.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting and analysis. As well as SharePoint for records management and document sharing.

Role Requirements
The role requires the working hours to be in line with the APAC office to ensure cover is available when the other team colleagues are working EMEA hours.
Flexible home working / Mumbai office working split equally throughout the week .
Data Protection and Compliance covers global legislation, in a fast paced and ever-changing environment so the analyst needs to be able to adapt with support from the Data Protection and Compliance Coordination Manager.
Confidence in presenting summaries in meetings and high-level awareness sessions to peers in the business.
