Competencies Experience in data protection strategies, implementation, and compliance Expertise in data protection laws and practices, including a deep understanding of IT Act 2000, GDPR Hands-on experience in executing data privacy projects/programs Periodic reporting to management on data privacy risk and compliance Strong project management skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage sensitive and confidential information Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail. Job Accountabilities Lead and collaborate in the formulation of policies related to collection and processing of personally identifiable information, based on the Privacy & Data Protection Laws of the countries in which the company operates or would like to expand its operations. Implement and monitor the data privacy policies and associated processes across functions and business units. Proactively partner with functional groups to ensure that the adoption of new technologies, processes, services and solutions are compliant with the applicable data privacy regulations Assess the development & enhancements of internal processes & systems and recommend privacy related controls. Work to align advanced technologies and Privacy by Design principles from the first stages of development and ensure that the data use meets established regulatory compliance needs. Collaborate with data product development teams creating new uses of data that employ privacy features. Drive adoption of Privacy Enhanced technologies Analyze, design and program software enhancements for new data streams with a goal of developing technical solutions and systems to help mitigate privacy vulnerabilities and prevent potential future privacy risks. Lead the Privacy Impact Assessment and Privacy risk assessments exercises and also ensure implementation the risk mitigation plans Lead the data breach handling process for effective addresal of privacy related gaps (if any) reported, in the current process & systems. Manage the process related to personal data access requests from individuals. Assess subcontracting/outsourcing of any processing of personally identifiable information and recommend privacy related controls (including the inclusion of appropriate clauses in the vendor contract. Liaison with external Privacy and Data Protection Counsel for expert views and audits. Identify areas of improvement in practices of Data Privacy Management. Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications) BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/MCA/MS/LLB/LLM from a reputed/recognized institute Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Data Privacy with overall an experience of 8-10 years Knowledge on Privacy enhanced technologies Excellent understanding of internal processes and systems of various enterprise functions. Quick Learner. Excellent Communication and presentation skills Privacy Certifications such CIPP/CIPT (US/EU/IT), DCPLA, DCPP
