Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of experience in the data industry with expertise in Prospecting Data Sources, Market Research, and Vendor Management. This is a Non-Technical Position, focused on the ability to source and procure data from the market, communicate with vendors, and support the organization's data-related needs. We are looking for a candidate who can join immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospecting Data Sources: Identify, evaluate, and source new data from various industry sources and market segments.

Data Procurement: Develop and manage relationships with data vendors, ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability.

Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, key data sources, and opportunities for data acquisition.

Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and terms with data vendors, managing the end-to-end procurement process.

Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with internal teams to understand their data needs and help in acquiring relevant data.

Data Validation: Ensure that the data procured is accurate, relevant, and meets the organizational requirements.

Reporting & Documentation: Maintain proper documentation of data sources, vendors, and contracts, and prepare regular reports for senior management.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: 5-6 years in the data industry, with a strong focus on data prospecting, procurement, and market research.

Market Research: Expertise in conducting research to identify data trends, potential sources, and market needs.

Vendor Management: Strong skills in managing vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with external vendors and internal teams.

Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with data vendors.

Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure the accuracy and relevance of procured data.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple data sources, vendor relationships, and documentation efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Market Research, or a related field.

Proven experience in sourcing data from various sectors.

Strong understanding of the data industry's market dynamics and trends.
