Data Lineage Analyst

Role Overview:

• Map, analyse, and document data flows across systems using data lineage and analysis tools including Solidatus (note training and certification in Solidatus tool set will be provided by the employer).
• Ensure transparency of data movement, transformations, and usage to support governance and compliance.
• Collaborate with teams across including data governance, IT, and business units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Lineage Mapping:
• Use data management and lineage tool sets to map and visualise data flows acrosssystems and databases.
• Build and maintain accurate, up-to-date lineage models reflectingdata architecture.
• Create and build data lineage reference models in data lineage tools
• Creatively utilise technology solutions to extract, analyse and transform data sets to support data lineage requirements.
• Data Governance & Compliance Support:
• Ensure lineage models meet data governance and regulatory requirements (e.g. DORA, GDPR, BCBS 239).
• Provide data lineage documentation to support audits and regulatory reporting.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work with business units/data owners, data architects and data engineers, and IT teams to gather requirements on data sources, flows, and dependencies.
• Present and communicate data lineage to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Legacy Systems & IT Integration:
• Document data flows from legacy databases and IT systems, ensuring integration into modern data lineage frameworks.
• Identify and address data flow challenges in legacy systems, ensuring accurate lineage representation.
• Process Improvement:
• Continuously optimise the data lineage tooling solution usage and data lineage processes (this .

• Training & Support:
• Become SME data lineage advocates across the organisation and provide training to internal teams and promote best practices for maintaining data lineage models.
