Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, be passionate about data, and possess the skills necessary to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to process and analyze large datasets.
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Implement data integration solutions to consolidate data from various sources into a unified data warehouse.
- Optimize and manage existing data workflows, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
- Perform data modeling and schema design to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and implement best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Hands-on experience with data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Flink).
- Knowledge of data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with ETL tools and workflows (e.g., Apache NiFi, Airflow).
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data structures, and database design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
