Outbrain is looking for a highly motivated, self-reliant Data Engineer to join our Analytics- Engineering group.

As with any Outbrain employee, we're looking for someone who is resourceful, bright, proactive, works well independently and as part of a team, and who will be passionate about what she or he does. For this position, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Data Engineer with the ability of self-learning and delivering results.
A day in the life
- Own the entire process from business requirements to data being used in reports
- Design, Implement, deploy and maintain Batch and Streaming data pipelines in production
- Interface with Engineers, Product Managers, Analysts and co-workers to understand product goals and data needs
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management Engineering/ Information Systems or a related technical field - Must
- At least 3 years of proven experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing - Must
- Excellent SQL skills - Must
- Basic knowledge of programming with Scala, Python or similar- An advantage
- Experience using one or more of the following: Spark, BigQuery, Airflow, MySQL, Hive - An advantage
- Fast and independent learner
- Excellent team-player
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal (Hebrew and English)
