Data Engineer

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing complex data pipelines, optimizing data flow and collection, and supporting data analysts and scientists in their work. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, database design, and data modeling, as well as experience working with large-scale data systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex data pipelines, data models, and database schema
• Optimize data flow and collection processes to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable data storage and retrieval
• Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to support their data needs
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and data integration solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
• Develop and maintain data documentation and metadata
• Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and industry trends

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 4-8 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
• Experience working with large-scale data systems and distributed computing tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.)
• Expertise in data modeling, database design, and SQL
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in Agile development methodologies is a plus
