Description

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage Kafka clusters using Confluent Kafka.

Develop and maintain real-time data pipelines and streaming applications.

Ensure high availability and performance of Kafka clusters.

Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Collaborate with software developers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate Kafka with various systems and applications.

Implement security best practices for Kafka, including SSL, ACLs, and RBAC.

Perform capacity planning and scaling of Kafka clusters to meet business needs.

Automate deployment, monitoring, and management tasks for Kafka.

Stay up-to-date with the latest Kafka and Confluent developments and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

4 years of experience working with Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka.

Strong understanding of distributed systems and data streaming concepts.

Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and KSQL.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.

Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their Kafka offerings.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
